There’s a fix for it. It’s a registry tweak that adjust the Maximum
Transmission Unit (MTU) of Windows that’s just right for 3G connection.
In layman’s term, it modifies the maximum data it sends at a time.
Just download the registry file PPP & Tunnel MTU Registry attached
to this blog and merge it with your registry. By the way, this only
works for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
Registered files:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\NdisWan\Parameters\Protocols\0]
"PPPProtocolType"=dword:00000021
"ProtocolMTU"=dword:00001450
"ProtocolType"=dword:00000800
"TunnelMTU"=dword:00001452
- the regfile file is not original value so its better to use regfile then apply the settings in tcp optimizer below to change the value in registr.
